This means it's an area identified by the U.S. Census Bureau for statistical purposes. In 2020, about 1,100 people lived there. This was a small increase from 995 people in 2010.

History of Carlsborg

Carlsborg was started in 1915. A person named C.J. Erickson founded the community. He named it after his hometown, Karlsborg, in Sweden. For many years, Carlsborg had a sawmill. This mill was important for the local economy. However, the sawmill stopped working in 1968.

Geography and Location

Carlsborg is located in the eastern part of Clallam County. A major road, U.S. Route 101, goes through the southern part of the community. This highway connects Carlsborg to nearby towns.

If you travel east on Route 101, you will reach Sequim in about 3 miles (5 km). If you go west for about 13 miles (21 km), you will arrive at Port Angeles. Port Angeles is the main city and county seat for Clallam County.
