Carmen Soo (born Soo Wai Ming on October 14, 1977) is a talented Malaysian model and actress. She is known for her work in both Malaysia and the Philippines.

About Carmen Soo
Carmen Soo grew up in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Her father is Chinese, and her mother is half Chinese and half British. Carmen studied business management at university. She speaks Malay, Cantonese, and English very well. She also learned Tagalog to help with her acting career in the Philippines. For a while, she was part owner of a small shop called 'Kushi' in Bangsar.
In 2015, Carmen married Benson Tan in Bali. They have one daughter. Carmen and her family now live in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
Carmen's Modeling Career
Carmen Soo started modeling when she was 17 years old. At 20, she moved to Hong Kong to work as a model. Her modeling career took her all over Asia, including Singapore.
Carmen is 156 centimeters tall, which is about 5 feet 1 inch. Because she is not very tall, she mostly does print ads and TV commercials. She has appeared on the covers of many magazines like New Man and GLAM. Carmen has also been a spokesperson for the watch brand Longines and for the mobile company Celcom. She is also the brand ambassador for Uniqlo Malaysia.
Carmen's Acting Journey
Carmen Soo began her acting career in 1999. She had a small role in the Jackie Chan movie Gorgeous. Later, she appeared in a musical special with Aaron Kwok.
In 2008, Carmen starred in a TV show called Kahit Isang Saglit. This show was a team effort between ABS-CBN in the Philippines and Double Vision in Malaysia. It was shown in both countries and around the world. The show was even nominated for an International Emmy Award.
Carmen continued acting in TV shows. In 2010, she was in a four-part series of Your Song called "Beautiful Girl." She also appeared in Si Paco at ang Prinsesa on TV5.
Carmen has also acted in several films. She was the main actress in the Malaysian horror movie The Hunter 3D. She also appeared in Dead Mine, which was HBO Asia's first original movie. Another horror film she starred in was the Singaporean movie Ghost Child.
Carmen as a Host
Besides modeling and acting, Carmen Soo has also worked as a host. In 2009, she was a judge on the Philippine TV show It's Showtime. In 2010, she became a co-host on Wowowee, another popular TV show in the Philippines.
