Carmen Twillie: The Voice Behind the Magic
Carmen Twillie has sung some unforgettable songs in movies. She is most famous for singing "Circle of Life" at the beginning of Disney's 1994 animated film, The Lion King. This song, written by Elton John and Tim Rice, is a big part of why the movie is so special!
She also provided the singing voice for a character named Stormella in the 1998 Christmas animated movie Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Movie. In 1997, she was a singer in the animated film Cats Don't Dance. Carmen also did a few small voice roles in the 1993 stop-motion animated film The Nightmare Before Christmas, playing characters like the Undersea Gal. Later, she appeared on the Chowder episode "Sing Beans," lending her voice to some of the "sing beans" characters.
