Meet Hammerman
The cartoon tells the story of Stanley Burrell, who is MC Hammer's real name! Stanley works at a youth center. He owns a special pair of magical dancing shoes. These shoes are super cool because they are alive and can even talk! When Stanley puts on these amazing shoes, he changes into the superhero Hammerman.
Hammerman often gets advice from his "Gramps." Gramps used to own the magical shoes himself and was known as a hero called Soulman. When Stanley transforms into Hammerman, he wears MC Hammer's famous purple Hammer pants and lots of shiny gold chains.
The real MC Hammer also hosted the show. He sang the catchy theme song, which explained how Hammerman got his powers. The story goes that back in the 1960s and 1970s, Gramps (whose real name was Robert Nameson) was the superhero Soulman. But as he got older, he became weaker and had to stop being a hero. Gramps and his granddaughter Jodie searched for a new superhero. Their search ended when they met Stanley, and he put on the magical shoes.
In each episode, Hammerman helped people with different problems. At the end of every show, MC Hammer would talk directly to the audience. He would give helpful tips on how kids could deal with similar issues in their own lives.
