About Maurice Dean Wint
Maurice Dean Wint was born in Leicestershire, England. In 1967, his family moved to Canada. He started his acting journey on stage in Toronto. He studied drama at York University and earned a special degree in fine arts.
His first TV role was in a Canadian police show called Night Heat in 1987.
Early Film Success
In 1995, Maurice starred in two popular movies: Rude and Curtis's Charm. Both films were shown at the Toronto International Film Festival. Rude was even shown at the famous 1995 Cannes Film Festival in France. Curtis's Charm also won a special award for being a great Canadian film.
One of his most famous roles came in 1997. He played Quentin in the science fiction horror movie Cube. This movie became a favorite among fans.
Other Notable Roles
Maurice has also played many other interesting characters. He was Sgt. Luther Robinson in the 2001 movie Hedwig and the Angry Inch. He has also appeared in many Canadian TV shows. Some of these include Tekwar, RoboCop: Prime Directives, Psi Factor, Hudson & Rex, Shoot the Messenger, and Diggstown.
