Caros Fodor (born January 7, 1984) is an American former professional mixed martial artist. He competed in the Lightweight division. Caros Fodor fought for many big organizations. These include the Professional Fighters League, UFC, and Strikeforce. He was a professional fighter from 2009 to 2017.

Caros Fodor's Early Life and Family

Caros Fodor grew up in Shoreline, Washington. His biological father was from the Caribbean. His biological mother was Caucasian. Caros and his brother were in foster care. They were raised by a single mother. They did not know they were brothers until they were 10 years old.

Caros has three biological brothers and sisters. He also has three adopted brothers and sisters. One of his adopted brothers is Ben Fodor. Ben is also a mixed martial artist. He is famous as Phoenix Jones, a self-styled superhero.

High School and Military Service

Caros Fodor wrestled in high school. He went to Shorecrest High School. He joined the United States Marine Corps right after graduating. Six days after graduation, he went to boot camp.

While he was in boot camp, a major world event happened. Caros was sent to Kuwait for the Iraq invasion. He finished his time in the military in 2007. He reached the rank of Sergeant.

Caros Fodor's Mixed Martial Arts Career

Starting His Fighting Journey

Before becoming a professional, Caros Fodor had a great amateur career. He won titles like the Genesis Fights MMA and Muay Thai Champion. He was also the Revolution Submission Champion.

He became a professional fighter in 2008. He won his first two fights. Both wins were by a move called a guillotine choke. Then, he lost a fight to Nate Hannah. This was by an armbar submission.

Fighting in Strikeforce

Caros Fodor joined Strikeforce in July 2010. He won his first fight there. He beat Ousmane Thomas Diagne by decision.

He fought again in Strikeforce. He won against Derek Getzel. This was by a submission called a d'arce choke.

Next, Fodor faced David Douglas. He won this fight by TKO. He used knee strikes to win.

Caros then fought James Terry. He won this fight by decision.

In December 2011, Fodor fought Justin Wilcox. He won this fight very quickly. It was a knockout just thirteen seconds into the first round.

On August 2, 2013, Caros Fodor signed with ONE FC.

He won his first fight in ONE FC. He beat Yang Seung Ho, who had not lost a fight before. Caros won by decision.

In his second ONE FC fight, he faced Vuyisile Colossa. Caros lost this fight by decision.

For his third fight, Caros Fodor fought Willy Ni. He won this fight by submission in the first round.

Caros was supposed to have a rematch with Vuyisile Colossa. But Colossa got injured and could not fight. So, Caros fought Vincent "The Magnivincent" Latoel instead. He won this fight by submission in the second round.

Caros Fodor's Life Outside the Ring

Outside of fighting, Caros Fodor has other interests. He once thought about becoming a police detective. He now works as a trainer at a health club. He also works with children who have disabilities.
