Cars is a 2006 movie made by Pixar. In it, cars are living beings and there are no humans. This is a story of "Lightning McQueen", a top race car who gets a lot of new friends after going to a small town in the desert called Radiator Springs in Route 66, while getting ready for the Piston Cup in California Dinoco.
A sequel Cars 2 was released on June 24, 2011. Michael Wallis said in August 2013 that Pixar will make a third film in the series. A spin-off Planes was released on August 9, 2013. A sequel Planes 2: Fire and Rescue was released on July 18, 2014. A second sequel Planes Three will be released on 2015. The Planes trilogy was produced by DisneyToon Studios.
