South of Cedar Point is Bogue Sound, which is a large body of water. A bridge called the B. Cameron Langston Bridge crosses this sound, connecting Cedar Point to Emerald Isle. To the west, there's the White Oak River, which is a tidal river (meaning its water level changes with the ocean tides). North Carolina Highway 24 crosses this river, leading you to the town of Swansboro in Onslow County.
