Cefn Gwyntog is a mountain peak located in north-east Wales. It is part of the Berwyn range, a group of mountains known as the Hirnantau. This peak stands just outside the Snowdonia National Park.

From the top of Cefn Gwyntog, you can see far and wide. Even though the land around it is mostly flat moorland, the views are impressive. You can clearly spot Lake Vyrnwy (Llyn Efyrnwy) sparkling below. The very top of the mountain has a small pile of stones, called a cairn. It's surrounded by soft, wet ground and tall heather plants.
