He started his professional journey with the Tennessee Titans in 2004. He also played for teams like the Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Later, he played in other leagues, including the Canadian Football League.

Early Life and High School Sports

Chad Lucas grew up in Tuskegee, Alabama. He went to Booker T. Washington High School. While there, he was a talented athlete in three different sports.

He played football, basketball, and ran track. He was recognized as one of the best players in his area for both basketball and football during his senior year. He also competed in the state track tournament.

College Football Career

Chad Lucas began his college football career at Troy State. He played there for two years, from 2000 to 2001. After that, he transferred to Alabama State.

At Alabama State, he played for two more years, from 2002 to 2003. In his senior year (2003), he was a key player. He caught 46 passes for 794 yards and scored five touchdowns. The year before, he caught 13 passes for 142 yards.

Professional Football Journey

Starting with the Titans

Chad Lucas first joined the Tennessee Titans in April 2004. He was signed as a free agent, meaning no team had drafted him. However, he was released by the Titans before their main training camp began in July 2004.

After leaving the Titans, Chad Lucas played for the San Jose SaberCats. This team was part of the Arena Football League. He played with them during the summer of 2004.

Time with the Packers
