Charles Bowser (born October 2, 1959) is a former American football player. He was a talented linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). Charles played for the Miami Dolphins for four seasons. Before joining the NFL, he played college football for the Duke Blue Devils.

Charles Bowser started his football journey at Plymouth High School (North Carolina). He graduated from this school in Plymouth, North Carolina in 1978. After high school, Charles went on to play college football at Duke University.
College Achievements at Duke
While playing for the Duke Blue Devils, Charles Bowser was an amazing player. He set new records for the school. He achieved 17.5 sacks in a single season. A "sack" happens when a defensive player tackles the opposing team's quarterback. He also set a career record with 22 sacks during his time at Duke. These records show how skilled he was at getting to the quarterback.
Playing for the Miami Dolphins
Charles Bowser joined the Miami Dolphins in 1982. He was an important part of their defense during the 1980s. This defense was famously known as the "Killer Bees Defense."
