The Chebucto Peninsula is a piece of land in Nova Scotia, Canada. It's like a big finger of land reaching out into the Atlantic Ocean. This whole area is part of the Halifax Regional Municipality.
About the Chebucto Peninsula
The Chebucto Peninsula is surrounded by water on three sides. To the west, you'll find St. Margarets Bay. The vast Atlantic Ocean stretches out to the south. And to the east, there's Halifax Harbour, which includes the Bedford Basin.
What's Inside the Peninsula?
A smaller piece of land, called the Halifax Peninsula, is actually part of the Chebucto Peninsula. This area is home to many communities.
Protecting the Land
Most of the middle part of the Chebucto Peninsula is empty. It's a special protected wilderness area. This helps stop cities from growing too much and taking over natural spaces.
