History

Chickamaw Beach officially became a city in the year 1950.

Geography

The city of Chickamaw Beach covers a total area of about 2.61 square miles (6.76 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, measuring about 2.22 square miles (5.75 square kilometers). The remaining part, about 0.39 square miles (1.01 square kilometers), is covered by water.

Minnesota State Highway 84 is a main road that goes through the community. Another important road, Minnesota State Highway 371, is also nearby.
