This tasty chocolate bar first came out in Switzerland in 1964. It was made at the Nestlé-owned Cailler factory in Broc. Chokito was a new version of an older chocolate bar. It quickly became very popular in Switzerland. In 1965, a slightly different Chokito was launched in the United Kingdom. The bar arrived in Australia in 1968 and in Brazil during the 1970s. In 2018, the making of Chokito in Switzerland moved to a new location.
Chokito's Marketing and Slogans
In 2010, Chokito got a fresh new look and a new recipe in Australia. They changed the chocolate to make it even better. Around the same time, a new advertising campaign started. It showed a man saying "No no no" to bouncers. This campaign was for young men and was very popular online.
Chokito was also launched in New Zealand in 2012. It was sold in South Africa in the late 1960s but stopped being sold there in the early 1980s. Today, the slogan for Chokito in Australia is "big feed, big taste." Back in the 1970s, the slogan was "Chokito gets you going."
