Chris Richard (born December 25, 1984) is an American former professional basketball player. He played as a power forward and center. Chris is best known for his time playing college basketball for the University of Florida.

Early Life and College Career
Chris Richard was born in Lakeland, Florida. He went to Kathleen High School in Lakeland. In 2003, he was named Florida Mr. Basketball. This award goes to the best high school basketball player in Florida.
Playing for the Florida Gators
From 2003 to 2007, Chris played for the Florida Gators. This is the basketball team for the University of Florida. He was a very important player for the team.
Chris helped the Gators win two national championships in a row. They won the NCAA championship in 2006. They won again in the 2007 tournament. He often came off the bench as a "sixth man." This means he was usually the first player to come into the game from the substitutes. In his final college game, he scored 8 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.
Professional Basketball Career
After college, Chris Richard began his professional basketball journey. He was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2007.
Time in the NBA
In the 2007–08 NBA season, Chris played 52 games for the Minnesota Timberwolves. He later joined the Chicago Bulls during the 2009–10 NBA season. He played 18 regular season games for the Bulls. After that season, he was waived by the team in June 2010.
Other Teams
Besides the NBA, Chris also played for other teams. He played for the Sioux Falls Skyforce and the Tulsa 66ers. Later in his career, from 2010 to 2011, he played internationally. He joined the Liaoning Dinosaurs team in China.
