Chris Rock started his career on the popular TV show Saturday Night Live from 1990 to 1993. He worked with other funny people like Adam Sandler and Chris Farley. After that, he was on In Living Color (1993–1994) and The Chris Rock Show (1997–2000). During this time, he became very well-known for his stand-up comedy. He released comedy albums such as Born Suspect (1991) and Bigger & Blacker (1999).
His movie career began with smaller parts, like in Beverly Hills Cop II (1987). Later, he appeared in bigger films like Lethal Weapon 4 (1998), Dogma (1999), and Nurse Betty (2000).
In 2001, Chris Rock wrote, helped produce, and starred in Down to Earth. He also starred in and produced Pootie Tang (2001). He worked with Louis C.K. on both of these projects. In 2003, he directed his first movie, a comedy about politics called Head of State. He also directed I Think I Love My Wife (2007) and Top Five (2014).
Chris Rock has also acted in many other comedies. These include Death at a Funeral (2010), Grown Ups (2010), and its sequel Grown Ups 2 (2013). He was also in Dolemite Is My Name (2019). He has appeared in Netflix movies with Adam Sandler, like Sandy Wexler (2017) and The Week Of (2018).
You might also recognize Chris Rock's voice! He voiced Osmosis Jones in Osmosis Jones (2001). He was also Marty the Zebra in the Madagascar movies (2005-2012).
