Christina Cox (born July 31, 1971) is a talented Canadian actress and stuntwoman. She has appeared in many movies and TV shows.

Early Life and Background

Christina Cox was born in a town near Toronto, Canada. She has a diverse background, with roots from Ireland, England, Scotland, Germany, the Netherlands, and African-Jamaican heritage. She grew up with two older sisters. Her father worked as an executive in the car industry.

From a young age, Christina was very active. She studied theatre and dance at the Arts York program at Unionville High School. She also competed in sports like gymnastics, track and field, and taekwondo. For a while, she dreamed of becoming an Olympic gymnast. However, she decided to focus on acting and theater instead.

After high school, she continued her studies at the Ryerson Theatre School of Toronto for two years. Christina is also skilled in boxing, muay Thai kickboxing, and fencing. She has even trained in stage combat, using old weapons, and firearms. These skills have been very useful in her acting career.

Christina Cox has been in over 38 movies and television shows. Some of her most well-known movie roles include the 1999 Canadian film Better Than Chocolate. She also appeared in the science fiction movie The Chronicles of Riddick.

On television, Christina was nominated for a Gemini Award for her role as Angela Ramírez in F/X: The Series. She was also an original cast member for the pilot episode of the TV show Girlfriends.

Christina Cox is married to Grant Mattos. Grant is a former NFL wide receiver who played for the San Diego Chargers. They got married on October 1, 2010. Their daughter was born in December 2013.
