Early Life and Learning
Clara Amfo was born in London, England. Her parents came from Ghana. She has five brothers and sisters. Her father worked as a scientist in hospitals. Her mother was a hospital cleaner. Clara went to Holy Cross School. Later, she studied media arts and writing at St Mary's University College.
Clara's Career Journey
Clara Amfo started her career at Kiss FM. She was an intern in their marketing team. She has hosted many movie premieres. These include Baby Driver and Marvel's Black Panther. Clara has also reported from big music events. These include Wireless and Global Gathering.
In 2012, she was nominated for a Sony Radio Award. This award was for a "Rising Star." In 2013, Clara joined BBC Radio 1Xtra. She hosted the weekend breakfast show there. She also hosted MTV's Official UK Top 40 and Top 20 Chart shows.
