Where is Climax?
Climax covers about 1.14 square miles (2.95 square kilometers) of land. It is located right on the Sand Hill River. This river flows into the Red River of the North about two miles (3 km) to the west.
Two important roads, U.S. Highway 75 and Minnesota Highway 220, pass through the community. These highways help connect Climax to other towns and cities.

Climax was founded in 1896. It was named after a company that made chewing tobacco. The name of the town has sometimes been a source of jokes. For example, the slogan for the town's 100th anniversary was "Climax. More than just a feeling."
