Climax is a small town in Decatur County, Georgia, United States. It got its name "Climax" because it is at the highest point of the railroad line. This line runs between Savannah, Georgia, and the Chattahoochee River.
In 2020, about 276 people lived in Climax. This was a small decrease from 280 people in 2010. The town is part of the Bainbridge, Georgia area.

History of Climax
Climax was first planned out in 1833. It was named for its high location. The government of Georgia officially made it a town in 1905. The town's borders reached out half a mile from its main water well.
Geography of Climax
Climax is in the eastern part of Decatur County. It sits on top of Curry Hill, which is a hill about 300 feet (91 meters) high. This hill forms one side of the Flint River valley.
U.S. Route 84 goes through Climax. If you go west on this road for 10 miles (16 km), you will reach Bainbridge. Bainbridge is the main city of Decatur County. If you go east for 15 miles (24 km), you will get to Cairo.
The town of Climax covers a total area of about 0.80 square miles (2.1 square kilometers). All of this area is land.

Swine Time Festival
Climax has a special festival every year called the Swine Time Festival. It happens on the first Saturday after Thanksgiving. Even though Climax is a small town, about 35,000 people come to this festival each year!
The festival has many fun contests and events. These include finding the best-dressed pig, corn shucking, and hog calling. People also compete in eating chitterlings, pig racing, and making syrup. There's even a baby crawling race and a "greased pig chase."
The festival starts with a parade down Main Street. This parade leads to the event grounds. There is also a beauty contest for different age groups. The winners are crowned Miss and Little Miss Swine Time.
