Clinton is a city in Arkansas, United States. It is the main town, or county seat, of Van Buren County, Arkansas. In 2020, about 2,509 people lived there. This makes it the biggest city in Van Buren County.

History of Clinton

The city of Clinton was named after DeWitt Clinton. He was a famous governor of New York. He helped build the Erie Canal, which was a very important waterway.

On February 5, 2008, a very strong tornado hit Clinton. It was part of a big storm called the 2008 Super Tuesday tornado outbreak. The tornado caused a lot of damage to homes and businesses.
