About Clitherall's Location
Clitherall is a very small city. It covers about 0.49 square kilometers (0.19 square miles) of land. There are no large bodies of water inside the city limits.
Minnesota State Highway 210 is an important road that goes through Clitherall. This highway helps connect the city to other towns and areas in Minnesota.
Clitherall's Past
Clitherall was officially planned out in October 1881. It got its name from the nearby Clitherall Lake. The lake was named after George B. Clitherall, who was a person appointed to a government position.
In 1953, a small religious group called the True Church of Jesus Christ was started in Clitherall by Clyde Fletcher. This group had fewer than 10 members. It ended when Fletcher passed away in 1969.
