Clyde County is a special kind of land division in New South Wales, Australia. Imagine it like an old-fashioned way of drawing lines on a map. These lines helped divide up land for official records and property ownership. It's one of 141 such divisions across the state.

This county is located in an interesting part of New South Wales. It's found between two important rivers: the Bogan River and the Barwon River. The county is in the area where these two rivers join, just south of a town called Brewarrina. It stretches east towards the Carinda area. A small part of the Macquarie River and Castlereagh River also forms a boundary in the north-east.

Clyde County was given its name to honor a famous military leader. He was Field Marshal Sir Colin Campbell (1792–1863). He was a very important figure in the British army during his time.
