Clydesdale East is a large, mostly countryside area in the southern and eastern parts of South Lanarkshire. It shares borders with other areas like Dumfries and Galloway, the Scottish Borders, West Lothian, and East Ayrshire.
The biggest town in Clydesdale East is Biggar. Many smaller villages are also part of this ward. These include Abington, Carnwath, Carstairs, Carstairs Junction, Cleghorn, Crawford, Leadhills, Symington, and Thankerton.
The boundaries of Clydesdale East were set in 2007. This happened when local elections in Scotland changed how people voted. The ward was created by joining together parts of older voting areas. Its boundaries have stayed the same since 2007.
Who are the Councillors?
