Coggon is a small city located in Linn County, Iowa, in the United States. In 2020, about 701 people lived there. It is part of the larger Cedar Rapids area.

History of Coggon
Coggon was started in 1857. In 2007, the city celebrated its 150th birthday! Coggon's special saying, or motto, is "The One and Only." This is because Coggon, Iowa, is the only place in the world with this name. Before this, its motto was "Some bigger, none better."
Coggon is also known for a tornado that hit the town in 1953. It caused damage to the northwest part of the city. The city is proud to be home to The Coggon Rockets baseball and softball teams. In 2012, the softball team won the Coggon Little League Championship. They were named the best softball team west of the Wapsipinicon River.
