The Comerica Center is a cool place in Frisco, Texas, where lots of exciting events happen! It's a big building called an arena that can be used for many different things.

It's the home court for the Texas Legends, a professional basketball team in the NBA G League. It's also where the Frisco Fighters, an Indoor Football League team, play their games. Plus, it's the main office and practice spot for the National Hockey League's Dallas Stars. You can also catch concerts and other fun shows here. The arena can hold between 5,000 and 7,000 people, and there's a huge parking garage for 2,100 cars.

Comerica Center: A Look at Its History

The Comerica Center is more than just an arena. It includes the Dallas Stars' practice area and their main offices. There's also a community ice rink for everyone to enjoy. The main arena itself has 6,000 seats for various events.

How the Arena Started: Deja Blue Arena

The center first opened its doors in 2003. Back then, the main venue had 3,500 seats. For its first few years, until 2008, it was known as the Deja Blue Arena.

Big Changes: The Renovation and New Name

In 2008, the arena closed for a major upgrade. This renovation cost about $39 million. It was finished in June 2009.

The upgrades made the arena much bigger, increasing its seating to 6,000. They also added a large parking garage with 1,000 spaces. Twelve fancy luxury suites and a special VIP club were also built. After these big changes, the arena's name changed to Dr Pepper Arena, which it kept until 2019.

Comerica Bank Takes Over Naming Rights

On January 18, 2019, Comerica Bank bought the rights to name the arena. That's when it became the Comerica Center. This agreement also meant the Dallas Stars would continue their partnership with the arena through the 2023-24 NHL season.
