Comstock is a small village located in Custer County, Nebraska, in the United States. It's known for its friendly community. In 2020, about 68 people lived there. The village has a motto: "Little Town. Big Heart."

History of Comstock
Comstock was founded in 1899. It started as a "water stop" for a new railroad line. A water stop was a place where steam trains could refill their water tanks. The village was named after W. H. Comstock, who owned a store there.

Life and Fun in Comstock
Comstock has a recreational park where people can relax and play. There is also a community garden and an active church.
Just southwest of Comstock, you can find the historic Dowse Sod House. A sod house is a type of home built from blocks of sod (grass and soil). These homes were common for early settlers on the Great Plains.
For several years, Comstock was home to the Comstock Music Festivals. These festivals took place from 2000 to 2008 at the 2nd Wind Ranch. Famous music artists performed there. At its busiest, the festival attracted over 50,000 people! The concerts ended in 2008 due to financial reasons.
