Where Was the Show Broadcast?
From 2004 to 2007, Cooking for Kids with Luis was shown many times a day on Nick Jr. Australia. It aired at 3:00 AM, 6:30 AM, 11:00 AM, 2:30 PM, 7:00 PM, and 10:30 PM. After 2007, it was still on Nick Jr. but less often.
The show was also seen in many other countries around the world. This includes Noggin in the United States and Nick Jr. in Canada, Ireland, South Africa, Germany, and France. In Canada, it was shown on TVOKids.
Cool Merchandise and Awards
In 2007, a cookbook based on the show was released. It was called Luis' Fab Food Favourites to Make, Cook...and Eat!. If you bought the book, it came with a DVD that had ten episodes from the series.
Cooking for Kids with Luis won two ASTRA Awards in 2005. These awards were for being the Most Outstanding Australian Production in both Kids and Short Form categories. Luis was also nominated as a "Favourite New Presenter."
Luis Tanner, the star of the show, was only six years old when the show aired (he was five when they filmed the first episode). He holds a Guinness World Record! He is the youngest person ever to host his very own television program. How cool is that?
