Corben Creek is a small stream located in Central Ontario, Canada. It flows through parts of Minden Hills in Haliburton County and the city of Kawartha Lakes. This creek is an important part of the larger Great Lakes Basin, which means its waters eventually join the Great Lakes. Corben Creek is also a tributary of Balsam Lake, meaning it flows into Balsam Lake.
Where Corben Creek Flows
Corben Creek starts its journey at a small, unnamed lake. This lake is found in a place called geographic Somerville Township, which is part of Minden Hills. The starting point is about 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) (or about 1 mile) south of a small community named Buller.
From there, the creek flows south until it reaches Corben Lake. After passing through Corben Lake, the creek continues its path south. It then flows under Kawartha Lakes Road 45.
Next, Corben Creek reaches Four Mile Lake. It flows out of this lake from its southern end. The creek then turns southwest and passes under Ontario Highway 35. Finally, Corben Creek reaches its end, or mouth, on the northeast side of Balsam Lake. This spot is about 4.7 kilometres (2.9 mi) (or about 3 miles) north of the community of Rosedale.
