Cordova is found in the state of Minnesota. It sits along Le Sueur County Road 2. This road is close to where it meets Le Sueur County Road 5, near a place called Gorman Lake. Other roads nearby include County Roads 7 and 11. The Little Cannon River also flows close to the community.
A Look at Cordova's Past
Cordova has an interesting history. It once had its own post office, which operated from 1857 until 1907. The community was officially mapped out, or "platted," on September 28, 1867. Later, on February 27, 1878, it became an officially incorporated town. However, over time, it changed back to being an unincorporated community within Cordova Township.
