Ronald Fields (born January 11, 1968 – died September 4, 2001) was an American rapper known by his stage name Cougnut. He came from the Lakeview neighborhood in San Francisco, California.

About Cougnut's Life and Music
Cougnut was the leader of a rap group called Ill Mannered Posse (I.M.P). He later became a solo artist. People knew him for his deep, rough voice. His most famous album with I.M.P. was Ill Mannered Playas, released in 1996.
Many other artists wanted Cougnut to appear on their songs or albums. He was a very important rapper in the San Francisco Bay Area from 1993 until he passed away in 2001. He worked with famous artists like JT the Bigga Figga, Master P, and Andre Nickatina.
Sadly, Ronald Fields passed away on September 4, 2001. He was involved in a car accident in Northern California.
