Crésuz is a small town, also called a municipality, located in Switzerland. It's part of the Fribourg canton and the Gruyère district. People sometimes call it Crèsuz or Kreju in local languages.

History of Crésuz
Crésuz is quite old! The first time anyone wrote about Crésuz was in the year 1301. Back then, it was called Cresu.
Where is Crésuz?
Crésuz is located in the Gruyère district. It sits above a lake called Lac de Montsalvens. The village of Crésuz is found on the main road that connects Bulle and Boltigen.
Land Use in Crésuz
Crésuz covers an area of about 1.8 square kilometers (0.7 square miles). A big part of this land is used for farming, about 34.3%. Forests cover another large part, about 35.4% of the area.
Around 23.6% of Crésuz is built up with buildings and roads. A smaller part, about 7.3%, is covered by rivers or lakes. Only a tiny bit, 0.6%, is land that can't be used for anything.
Most of the built-up area is for houses and other buildings. Roads and other transport areas make up a smaller portion. In the forests, most trees are dense, but some areas have small groups of trees or orchards. For farming, some land is used for pastures where animals graze.

School System in Fribourg
The school system in the Canton of Fribourg works like this:
- Kindergarten: One year of optional kindergarten.
- Primary School: Six years of primary school, which everyone must attend.
- Lower Secondary School: Three years of lower secondary school. Students are grouped based on their abilities.
- Upper Secondary School: After lower secondary, students can choose to go to an optional three or four-year upper secondary school. This can be a gymnasium (which prepares students for university) or a vocational program (which teaches job skills).
- Tertiary School: After upper secondary, students can go to a university or continue their job training.
In the 2010-2011 school year, Crésuz had 33 students in 2 kindergarten classes. Crésuz itself didn't have primary or lower secondary schools, so students went to schools in nearby towns. Some students also went to upper secondary schools or vocational programs in other municipalities.
In 2000, 20 students came to Crésuz from other towns for school. At the same time, 24 students from Crésuz went to schools outside the municipality.
