Crescent Valley is a small community in Eureka County, Nevada, United States. It's located right off Nevada State Route 306. This place is home to Crescent Valley Elementary School, the Fair Grounds, and a Community Park. In 2020, about 512 people lived here. Crescent Valley is also part of the larger Elko area.

History of Crescent Valley
A post office served Crescent Valley from 1963 until 2008. Today, a small store has one of Nevada's special "Village Post Offices." Mailboxes for residents are located at the Fairgrounds. Mail is delivered from the Carlin Post Office by car.
The community gets its name from the valley it sits in. The valley itself was named because it has a unique crescent shape.
Learning in Crescent Valley
The only school in Crescent Valley is an elementary school. Older students, who attend middle and high school, take a bus to the Battle Mountain Junior and Senior High Schools in Battle Mountain. Crescent Valley has a good Education Index, which means its education level is higher than the average for Nevada.
The town also has a public library. It is part of the Elko-Lander-Eureka County Library System.

Crescent Valley is on the western edge of Eureka County. It is about 19 miles (31 km) south of Interstate 80. It is also about 87 miles (140 km) north of Austin. The area of Crescent Valley is about 2.23 square miles (5.8 square kilometers), and all of it is land. The main part of the town is about one mile (1.6 km) long and wide. Houses and streets on the edges can reach up to two miles (3.2 km) south and 0.6 miles (1 km) north.

Fun and Festivities
The park in Crescent Valley is a great place for outdoor activities. It has two covered areas, a large picnic spot with barbecues, and a bathroom. There's also a baseball field for youth teams, a playground, a basketball court, and a horseshoe tossing area. The dirt hills and ditches around Crescent Valley are perfect for dirt biking, which is popular with younger kids and teens.
The town celebrates all holidays at the fairgrounds, also known as the community center. One special event is "Founder's Day" in late June. This day celebrates the town with games like horseshoe tossing and pig chasing. Other holidays often have special events and dinners at the fairgrounds. For Easter, there's an Easter egg hunt and a raffle at The Ranch House bar and grill. On Halloween, kids go trick-or-treating all over town. In December, a special "Christmas Carol" Hayride is organized.
