Cuebas is a small community, also known as a barrio, located in the town of Peñuelas, Puerto Rico. In 2010, about 449 people lived there.
History of Cuebas
After the Spanish–American War, Puerto Rico became a territory of the United States. This happened because Spain gave Puerto Rico to the U.S. as part of the Treaty of Paris of 1898.
In 1899, the United States government took a count of all the people in Puerto Rico. This count is called a census. The census found that Cuebas and a nearby barrio called Tallaboa Saliente had a combined population of 940 people.
