Cumberland Lake is a large glacial lake found in Saskatchewan, Canada. A glacial lake is a lake that was formed by the movement of glaciers. It is located in the Cumberland Delta in east-central Saskatchewan. This area is about 60 kilometers (37 miles) from the Manitoba border.
The historic community of Cumberland House (Saskatchewan) is on the south shore of the lake. You can reach it by Highway 123. The lake and its surroundings were very important during the fur trade era. It was a central meeting point for Voyageurs, who were brave travelers and traders. They used the lake as a hub for their trade routes.
