Damien Williams (born April 3, 1992) is an American professional football player. He is a running back, which means he carries the ball for his team. He played college football for the Oklahoma Sooners. Later, he joined the Miami Dolphins in 2014. Williams is best known for winning Super Bowl LIV with the Kansas City Chiefs. In that big game, he scored a key touchdown that helped his team win.

Early Life and High School Football
Damien Williams was born in San Diego, California. He started playing high school football at El Cajon Valley High School. For his last three years, he played at Mira Mesa Senior High School.
College Football Career
Williams first went to Arizona Western College to play football. In 2012, he moved to the University of Oklahoma. During his time with the Oklahoma Sooners, he ran for 1,499 yards. He also scored 18 touchdowns. One of his most exciting plays was a 95-yard touchdown run against Texas in 2012. He left the team early in November 2013.
Professional Football Career
Damien Williams started his professional career in 2014. He was not chosen in the NFL draft but was signed by the Miami Dolphins.
Miami Dolphins Years (2014–2017)
Williams played his first NFL game with the Dolphins in 2014. He helped his team win against the New England Patriots. In his first season, he ran for 122 yards and caught 21 passes for 187 yards. He also scored his first professional touchdown.
In 2015, he scored another receiving touchdown. The next year, in 2016, he played in 15 games. He ran for 115 yards and scored three touchdowns. He also caught 23 passes for 249 yards and three more touchdowns. The Dolphins made the playoffs that year. Williams scored a touchdown in their playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In 2017, Williams became a starting running back for the Dolphins. This happened after another player, Jay Ajayi, was traded. Williams played in four games as a starter before he got injured. He missed the rest of the season because of a shoulder injury.
Kansas City Chiefs Years (2018–2020)
Williams joined the Kansas City Chiefs in March 2018. His role on the team grew bigger during the season. The Chiefs were impressed and signed him to a new contract.
In 2018, Williams ran for 256 yards and scored four touchdowns. He also caught passes for 160 yards and two touchdowns. In the playoffs, he became a key player for the Chiefs. He had a great game against the Indianapolis Colts, running for 129 yards and a touchdown. In the AFC Championship game, he scored three touchdowns against the New England Patriots.
Super Bowl Champion (2019 Season)
The 2019 season was a big one for Williams and the Chiefs. In a game against the Minnesota Vikings, he had an amazing 91-yard touchdown run. This run tied a team record for the longest touchdown run ever. In the last game of the regular season, he ran for 124 yards and two touchdowns.
Williams finished the 2019 season with 498 rushing yards and five touchdowns. He also caught 30 passes for 213 yards and two touchdowns. He continued to play a huge part in the Chiefs' playoff run.
In Super Bowl LIV, the Chiefs played against the San Francisco 49ers. Williams ran for 104 yards and scored a 38-yard touchdown. He also caught a pass for a touchdown. His receiving touchdown gave the Chiefs the lead with less than three minutes left. Then, his rushing touchdown sealed the win for the Chiefs. He was the first player in Super Bowl history to run for over 100 yards and score both a rushing and receiving touchdown in the same game.
2020 Season
For the 2020 season, Williams chose not to play. He sat out the season for personal reasons to be with his family. The Chiefs made it to the Super Bowl again that year, but they lost. Williams was released by the team in March 2021.
Later Career (2021–2023)
After leaving the Chiefs, Williams signed with the Chicago Bears in 2021. He played in 12 games, running for 164 yards and four touchdowns. He also caught passes for 103 yards and one touchdown.
In 2022, Williams joined the Atlanta Falcons. He played in one game before getting injured and missing the rest of the season.
In 2023, he briefly signed with the Las Vegas Raiders. Later that year, he joined the practice squad of the Arizona Cardinals. He played in one game for the Cardinals before being released in November.
