Daniel John Tyminski (born June 20, 1967) is an American bluegrass singer and musician. He is well-known for his amazing voice and guitar skills. Dan was a member of Alison Krauss's band, Union Station, for many years. He has also released several solo albums.
One of his most famous songs is his updated version of "Man of Constant Sorrow." This song was a big hit from the movie O Brother, Where Art Thou? It even won a Grammy Award in 2001! Dan has won a total of 14 Grammy Awards for his own music and for working with other artists. In 2013, he sang on the international hit song "Hey Brother" by Avicii. This song became popular all over the world. In 2021, Dan Tyminski received the Bluegrass Star Award. This award honors bluegrass artists who help keep traditional bluegrass music alive.
