Daniel Ellis Roberts (born November 13, 1997) is an amazing American sprinter and Hurdler. He is known for his speed and skill in hurdle races. Daniel has won big medals on the world stage. He earned a silver medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. He also took home a bronze medal at the 2023 World Championships in Budapest. Both of these medals were for the 110-meter hurdles event.

College Career (NCAA)
Before turning professional, Daniel Roberts was a star in college track and field. He competed for the Kentucky Wildcats. He was named an All-American four times by the USTFCCCA. This means he was one of the best college athletes in the country. He also won one Southeastern Conference championship.
Daniel's time in the 110-meter hurdles is one of the fastest ever for a US college athlete. He set new records for the University of Kentucky. His coaches, Tim Hall and Edrick Floréal, helped him achieve these amazing results. He also trained with former UK volunteer assistant coach Omar McLeod.
In 2019, Daniel won the 110 hurdles at the Drake Relays. He also tied the Southeastern Conference meet record. He ran the 110-meter hurdles in an incredible 13.07 seconds.

Daniel Roberts graduated from Hampton High School in 2016. Before his senior year, he attended Starr's Mill High School in Peachtree City.
In 2015, Daniel faced a challenge when he got a knee injury while playing American football. This injury required him to have surgery. After his surgery, he started wearing long tights during races. This was to cover the scars from his operation.
Daniel comes from a very sporty family! His brothers played NCAA football. His sister, Alicia Roberts, was also an athlete. She ran track and played NCAA Volleyball.
High School Achievements
Daniel showed his talent early on in high school.
- In 2015, he placed second in the 110-meter hurdles at the New Balance Nationals Outdoor competition.
- At the Georgia High School Association 4A state championship in 2015, he won three gold medals! He was first in the 100-meter hurdles, 300-meter hurdles, and triple jump.
- In 2014, representing Luella High School, he was second in the 110-meter hurdles at the 6A state championship. He also placed fourth in the triple jump.
