Danny Bonaduce (born August 13, 1959) is an American who used to work in radio, act in TV shows, and was also a professional wrestler. He became famous as a child actor in the 1970s. His father, Joseph Bonaduce, was a TV writer and producer.
Danny Bonaduce is best known for playing Danny Partridge on the TV show The Partridge Family. He played the middle son in a singing family band. He was also the bass guitar player for the fictional pop group. After that, Bonaduce appeared in other TV shows. He also worked on radio shows in Los Angeles and Philadelphia. From 2011 to 2023, he hosted a morning show in Seattle.

His Acting Career
Danny Bonaduce started acting when he was young. He had a small part in the TV show Bewitched in 1969. He played a young boy whose chimpanzee followed the main characters home. He also had a role in The Ghost & Mrs. Muir in 1969. His father, Joseph Bonaduce, wrote that episode.
Starring in The Partridge Family
Bonaduce's most famous role was Danny Partridge in The Partridge Family. This show was about a musical family that traveled in a colorful school bus. Danny Partridge played the bass guitar. The show ran for four years, from 1970 to 1974. In 2003, he received an award for his work as a child star on the series. He also voiced Danny in the cartoon Partridge Family 2200 A.D.
Other TV Shows and Movies
During and after The Partridge Family, Bonaduce appeared in several movies. One was Corvette Summer (1978) with Mark Hamill. They played high school students looking for a stolen car. Bonaduce also made guest appearances on TV shows like CHiPs.
Later, he appeared in a 1994 episode of Married... with Children. He also guest-starred in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and The Drew Carey Show. Bonaduce appeared as himself on Monk and Girlfriends. In 1999, he was in a Christmas episode of Sabrina, the Teenage Witch.
From 1995 to 1996, Bonaduce hosted his own talk show called Danny!. From 2001 to 2003, he co-hosted The Other Half, a daytime talk show. In 2005, he starred in Breaking Bonaduce, a reality show about his life. He also hosted the game show Starface. In 2007, he was a host and judge on I Know My Kid's a Star, a reality show about kids trying to get into show business.

Radio and Music Work
Danny Bonaduce released his first music album in 1973. A song from the album, "Dreamland," was a small hit.
In the late 1980s, Bonaduce started working in radio. He had a show in Philadelphia. From 1994 to 1996, he hosted The Danny Bonaduce Show in Chicago. He also hosted morning radio shows in Detroit and New York City.
In 2007, Bonaduce was part of The Adam Carolla Show. In 2008, he had his own daily show called Broadcasting Bonaduce.
Bonaduce became an ordained minister online in 2011. He performed a wedding ceremony for a radio promotion. On November 14, 2011, he began co-hosting a morning show for Seattle radio station 102.5 KZOK. In April 2022, Bonaduce announced he was taking a break for medical treatment. In December 2023, he announced that December 15 would be his last day on the air.
Boxing and Wrestling
As an adult, Danny Bonaduce participated in charity boxing matches. He boxed against Donny Osmond and Barry Williams from The Brady Bunch. Bonaduce won both of these fights. In 2007, he boxed attorney Robert Shapiro for charity. In 2008, he won a fight against "Reverend" Bob Levy.
In January 2009, Bonaduce boxed retired baseball player José Canseco at a charity event. The fight ended in a draw.
Bonaduce also made his professional wrestling debut in 1994. He wrestled against Christopher Knight, another TV star from The Brady Bunch, and Bonaduce won. He had another wrestling match in 2009 against Eric Young, which he lost. Bonaduce was also a part of the series Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling.

In 2002, Danny Bonaduce wrote his autobiography called Random Acts of Badness.
Personal Life
Danny Bonaduce has a black belt in karate.
He married Setsuko Hattori in 1985, and they divorced in 1988.
On November 4, 1990, he married Gretchen Hillmer. They stayed married for over sixteen years and had two children together. They divorced in 2007.
Bonaduce started dating Amy Railsback in April 2007. They met at a Starbucks. Amy Railsback is a former substitute teacher. She now manages Bonaduce's career. They got married on November 22, 2010, in Hawaii. They have homes in Los Angeles and Seattle.
Bonaduce remained close friends with his The Partridge Family co-star, David Cassidy, until Cassidy's death in 2017. He also met actress Shirley Jones on the set of The Partridge Family. Shirley Jones was very kind to him and sometimes let him stay at her home. She said Bonaduce was "smart" and "talented." Bonaduce later said that "Shirley Jones could not have been kinder to me."
Health
In June 2023, Bonaduce shared that he would have surgery for a condition called hydrocephalus. This was because he was having trouble walking and keeping his balance.
Retirement
In December 2023, Danny Bonaduce announced he was retiring from his radio show in Seattle. He also shared that he planned to move to Palm Springs, California.
