Fred Flintstone and Friends was an American animated TV show that brought together many classic cartoon characters. It was a spin-off of the popular The Flintstones series, meaning it was a new show created from an existing one. This show was an anthology, which means it featured different cartoon segments from other shows. It was made by Hanna-Barbera and Columbia Pictures Television. The series aired every day in syndication from October 3, 1977, to September 1, 1978. Syndication means the show was sold directly to individual TV stations, not just shown on one main network.

A big change for the show was that Henry Corden officially became the speaking voice of Fred Flintstone. This happened after the original voice actor, Alan Reed, passed away in June 1977. Henry Corden had already done Fred's singing voice in earlier movies and TV specials. He continued to voice Fred in many other Flintstones shows and even in commercials for Pebbles cereal until he passed away in 2005.
