Daniel Mark Pudi (born March 10, 1979) is an American actor and director. He is well-known for playing Abed Nadir in the TV show Community. He also stars as Brad Bakshi in the Apple TV+ series Mythic Quest. Many people know his voice as Huey Duck from the 2017 DuckTales cartoon.

Danny Pudi's Early Life
Growing Up in Chicago
Daniel Mark Pudi was born in Chicago on March 10, 1979. His mother, Teresa, came from Poland. His father, Abraham, came from India. Both of his parents became citizens of the U.S. Danny grew up speaking Polish with his mother and grandmother.
He lived on the South Side of Chicago with his brother Adam and sister Katherine. He went to Notre Dame College Prep in Niles. In 2013, he gave a speech at his old high school.
College and Comedy Training
Danny studied dance in Chicago. He then went to Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He earned a degree in communication and theater in 2001. At Marquette, he won the first Chris Farley Scholarship. This scholarship helped pay for a year of his schooling.
It also led him to perform at a comedy event. This made him more interested in studying improv comedy. After college, he performed in plays during the summer. He also studied at The Second City in Chicago. He joined a comedy group called Stir Friday Night!.
Danny Pudi's Acting Career
Starting in Hollywood
Before becoming a full-time actor, Danny worked as a recruiter. He moved to Los Angeles in 2005. This job allowed him to work from home. This meant he could go to auditions easily. He appeared in several TV show tryouts. Then, he joined the cast of Community. He starred in this show for six seasons, from 2009 to 2015.

Danny has appeared in many TV commercials. These include ads for Snickers and McDonald's. In 2012, he was a contestant on The Pyramid. He played alongside his Community co-star, Yvette Nicole Brown.
In movies, he played Arash in Road Trip: Beer Pong. He also starred in the comedy horror film Knights of Badassdom. This movie was a big hit at Comic Con in 2011. Danny has made short appearances in many online videos. He also had small roles in big movies. These include Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Star Trek Beyond.
Voice Acting and Recent Work
In 2017, Danny started voicing Huey Duck. This was for the new DuckTales cartoon. He also played Teddy in the NBC show Powerless.
Since February 2020, Danny has played Brad Bakshi in the TV series Mythic Quest. His first play, called Running, was released in August 2020. This play talks about his relationship with his father. It explores how this affected his identity and experiences. The play was later made into a short film in 2022.
In 2022, he worked with his Community co-star Alison Brie. They were in the movie Somebody I Used to Know. In 2024, Danny Pudi began playing The Mechanist. This role is in Netflix's live-action show Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Danny Pudi's Personal Life
Danny Pudi is married to Bridget Showalter. They met when they were in college at Marquette University. They have twins, a son and a daughter, who were born in January 2012. Danny also enjoys running. He has finished several marathons. In 2014, he bought a house in Pasadena, California.
