Darcy Tucker (born March 15, 1975) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He spent most of his time in the National Hockey League (NHL) playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Darcy was chosen in the sixth round of the draft. He started his NHL career with the Montreal Canadiens. He also played for the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Colorado Avalanche. Tucker was born in Castor, Alberta, but grew up in Endiang, Alberta. He is of Métis descent.

Playing Career Highlights
Darcy Tucker was a key player for the Kamloops Blazers. He helped them win the Memorial Cup three times. These wins were in 1992, 1994, and 1995. Only two other players, Tyson Nash and Ryan Huska, were part of all three wins.
In 1996, Darcy played for the Fredericton Canadiens. This team was in the American Hockey League (AHL). He won the Dudley "Red" Garrett Memorial Award that year. This award is given to the AHL's best rookie player.
Joining the NHL
The Montreal Canadiens picked Darcy in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. He was the 151st player chosen overall. In 1998, he was traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning. He played there for three seasons.
In 2000, Darcy joined the Toronto Maple Leafs. He quickly became a well-known player for the team.
Memorable Moments
During the 2002 Stanley Cup playoffs, Darcy was involved in a play. This play caused an injury to New York Islanders captain Michael Peca. Years later, in 2006, Peca signed with the Maple Leafs. This made Tucker and Peca teammates.
On June 24, 2008, the Maple Leafs ended Darcy's contract early. He then became a free agent. On July 1, 2008, he signed a two-year contract. This contract was with the Colorado Avalanche.
Darcy Tucker announced his retirement from hockey on October 1, 2010. He had played 14 seasons in the NHL. After retiring, he continued to be involved in hockey. He now works as a player agent.
Personal Life
In 1998, Darcy Tucker married Shannon Corson. Shannon is the sister of former NHL player Shayne Corson. Shayne and Darcy were teammates on the Maple Leafs. Darcy often helped Shayne with his panic attacks. Darcy and Shannon have three children together.
