David Dejiro Defiagbon (born June 12, 1970 – died November 24, 2018) was a talented boxer. He was born in Nigeria. Later, he became a Canadian citizen. He competed in the sport of boxing for both countries. David was known for his strong punches. He won important medals in big competitions.

David Defiagbon started his boxing career early. He showed great skill from the beginning. He competed in major international events. These events included the Commonwealth Games and the Olympic Games.
Winning Gold at the Commonwealth Games
In 1990, David competed for Nigeria at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland, New Zealand. He performed very well in the welterweight division. David won a gold medal at these games. This was a big achievement for him and his country. He defeated Greg Johnson to win the gold.
Competing at the Olympics
David Defiagbon represented Nigeria at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. He competed in the light middleweight division. In his first fight, he faced Raúl Márquez. David was narrowly defeated in a close match.
