DeAngelo Tyson (born April 12, 1989) is a former American football player. He played as a defensive end, a position where players try to stop the opposing team's offense. He was chosen by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2012 NFL draft and also played college football for the Georgia Bulldogs.

Early Life and High School Football
DeAngelo Tyson was born in Savannah, Georgia. When he was 10 years old, he moved to the Joseph Home for Boys. This home helped him continue his education and pursue his dreams.
He went to Statesboro High School in Statesboro, Georgia. There, he played football with Justin Houston, who also became a professional player. In his second year, DeAngelo helped his team win the 2005 AAAA state championship.
As a senior, he made 54 tackles and 9 sacks. This means he stopped the opposing team's players many times and brought down the quarterback. Because of his great performance, he was named an All-USA selection by USA Today in 2007. He chose to play college football at the University of Georgia.

DeAngelo Tyson played college football for the Georgia Bulldogs. He played under head coach Mark Richt. His time at Georgia helped him prepare for a career in the NFL.

Before the 2012 NFL draft, experts thought Tyson would be picked in the 6th or 7th round. Sports Illustrated described him as a "tough college defensive lineman."

Baltimore Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens chose DeAngelo Tyson in the seventh round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He was the 236th player picked overall.
Tyson became a part of the Ravens team that won Super Bowl XLVII. This is one of the biggest achievements in professional football. In the 2013 season, he made his first career interception. This means he caught a pass thrown by the opposing team's quarterback, Matthew Stafford, during a game against the Detroit Lions. He played for the Ravens until 2015.
Seattle Seahawks
On January 19, 2016, DeAngelo Tyson signed a contract with the Seattle Seahawks. He was with the team for a short time before being waived on August 29, 2016.
