Deko Boko Friends (でこぼこフレンズ, Deko Boko Furenzu), which means "Uneven Friends," is a series of short Japanese animated films. Each film is only 30 seconds long. These shorts were created by Momoko Maruyama and Ryotaro Kuwamoto.
The main idea behind Deko Boko Friends is to teach us to accept people who are different. It shows that everyone has unique personalities, looks, likes, and dislikes. The series features 12 different characters, each with their own special quirks.
Deko Boko Friends first appeared in 2003 on NHK's long-running children's show, Okaasan to Issho. Later, Viz Media helped bring the shorts to English-speaking audiences. You might have seen them on Nickelodeon's Nick Jr. block or Noggin in the United States. In Canada, they were shown on Treehouse TV.
