Delungra is a small town in New South Wales, Australia. It is located on the Gwydir Highway. The town is about 33 kilometers (20 miles) from Inverell and 43 kilometers (27 miles) from Bingara. Both towns are in Inverell Shire.

In 2016, Delungra and the areas around it had a population of 647 people. The town center itself had about 285 residents.

History of Delungra

Delungra officially became a town in 1907. In 2007, the town celebrated its 100th birthday. This special event was held together with the Australia Day celebrations.

Before it was called Delungra, the local Post Office was known as Reedy Creek. Its name was changed to Delungra on June 11, 1906.
