Deming is a small community in Whatcom County, Washington, United States. It is located along the Nooksack River. Deming is known as a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's a special area defined by the government for counting people, but it's not an official city or town.
The community got its name from George Deming, who was its first postmaster. In 2020, about 339 people lived there. Deming is about 16 miles away from Bellingham, which is the main city in the county.
Deming is important because it's home to the government offices of the Nooksack Tribe. The community is part of the Nooksack Indian Reservation, which covers about 2,500 acres.
