History of Denham
Denham started in 1908. It officially became a city in February 1939. The city got its name from someone who worked for the Soo Line Railroad.
Denham had a post office that opened in 1909. It stayed open until 1974. There was also a train station, called a depot, for the Soo Railroad in Denham.
Geography of Denham
Denham covers about 1.33 square miles (3.43 square kilometers) of land. It is located in the northwest part of Pine County.
Main roads like County Roads 40, 46, and 52 help people get around the Denham area. A stream called Birch Creek is also close by.
Denham is about 8 miles west of Sturgeon Lake. It is also about 9 miles west-northwest of Willow River. The city is near the borders of Pine, Carlton, and Aitkin counties.
