Desert Hills is a small community in Mohave County, Arizona, United States. It is also known as a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's an area that the government counts as a community for population studies, even though it doesn't have its own local government.

In 2020, about 2,764 people lived in Desert Hills. This was an increase from 2,245 people counted in 2010.

Where is Desert Hills?

Desert Hills is located in the western part of Mohave County. You can find it at 34°32′51″N 114°22′0″W / 34.54750°N 114.36667°W / 34.54750; -114.36667. It sits right on the eastern side of the Colorado River. This part of the river is held back by a dam, forming a large body of water called Lake Havasu.

The community is next to Lake Havasu City to the south and east. To the north, you'll find Crystal Beach. Across the Colorado River to the west is San Bernardino County, California.

Arizona State Route 95 runs along the eastern edge of Desert Hills. This road can take you about 4 miles (6.4 km) south to the center of Lake Havasu City. If you go north for about 18 miles (29 km), you'll reach Interstate 40.

The total area of Desert Hills is about 4.9 square miles (12.7 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 4.3 square miles (11.1 square kilometers), is land. The remaining 0.6 square miles (1.5 square kilometers) is water from Lake Havasu.
