Deworski Odom is an American former runner who was great at sprints. He was born on April 11, 1977. He mainly focused on the 100 metres race.

When he was just 17 years old, Deworski won a bronze medal. This was at the 1994 World Junior Championships. He also set a new record for young athletes in the 100 meters.

Deworski Odom's Early Life and School

Deworski Odom was born in Cordele, Georgia. His mother, Lessie Odom, was 16 at the time. When Deworski was four, his family moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

He started running in sixth grade. This was at Shoemaker Middle School. Later, he went to Overbrook High School. In 1995, he achieved amazing things. He set three national records at a big track meet. This event was in Syracuse, New York.

College and Professional Running

Many top college track programs wanted Deworski to join them. However, he did not meet the academic requirements for college right away. He first attended Wallace State Community College in Hanceville, Alabama.

After that, he went to St. Augustine's University. He ran there for one season. Then, he decided to become a professional athlete.

Coaching Today

Deworski Odom now shares his running knowledge. He works as a track and field coach. He coaches at his old high school, Overbrook High School. This is in Philadelphia.
